1. Reflect on the work you’ve completed in the course (text presentations, content portfolio, etc.)
The work I have done in this class has really taught me a lot about the reality of bbeing a teacher. For example, through reading the different books I learned a lot more about specific methods teachers use in their classrooms and that really helped give me an actual image in my head of what my career might look like moving forward. The biggest thing I learned is that as an educator I am always going to be learning and reflecting in order to make sure my practices are good for the students. I’ve learned that you never stop recreating yourself as a teacher and I will always be trying to improve my skills.

2. Reflect on the theories and concepts we explored in readings and discussions
Through the reading and discussions, I also learned how different me and some of my classmate’s perspective are on different teaching ideas. But I think hearing each other’s perspectives was really helpful because sometimes they would change my mind on my opinions. So, it’s good that we all got to discuss everyone’s different thoughts on the readings.

3. Reflect on how you think your participation in this course has influenced your thinking about yourself as a teacher
Through this class I just got more and more excited to become a teacher. I have learned that I want to be the teacher that tries to teach to everyone’s needs and not just to one type of student. I have also learned that I can actually be really creative with the types of lessons I teach in the future and that there’s a lot of different options out there. I also love that teachers definitely have a community and they want to help each other and that makes me feel very comforted going into this career.
